The Esports Management Program is our newest fellowship program open to students at CUNY. Students are able to get an inside look at the esports industry through hands-on experience and attending industry events and conferences.
First-Year Participants: Wednesdays 1-3 PM
All Participants: Wednesdays 7-8 PM
The program requires an average of 6 hours of participation a week. This includes time dedicated to professional development workshops, trips, program-wide activities, and internship placements.
All participants receive 1-on-1 academic advising each semester, internship search and grad school application assistance, and resume reviews. Students also participate in professional development workshops, networking trips, and will work hands on in the industry. In the past, our students were able to get free tickets to ESL ONE New York, visit the office of NYXL and NYSL, have lunch with the founders of kanga.gg, and attend AMAs with employees of Riot Games.
A Support System
As a TESPA chapter and sanctioned College League of Legends organization, students in our program, can take advantage of our partnerships and connections to professionals in the industry. Participants also enjoy all of the benefits of our regular members, including access to our 100+ textbook library, 600+ game library, study groups and tutoring for their classes, discounts on software and industry event tickets, mental health and crisis support resources, and more.
Students will be admitted into the program as incoming freshmen, up until a completion of 60 credits. Students who are admitted into the program with 0-30 credits will be able to complete the full curriculum within a traditional 4 year sequence. Students who are admitted with 30-60 credits will be able to complete the Transfer Curriculum in 2 years, but have the option to complete the full curriculum by taking an extra year.
Students must adhere to academic plans in approved areas that fit their desired focus.
Students at CUNY Community Colleges will receive assistance transferring into a 4-year institution upon obtaining their associates degree.
