Since Epic Games is a fast-growing company, employee testimonials on Glassdoor and Indeed varied due to work locations and departments. Most reviews spoke very highly of the benefits offered to employees and praised bonuses and stipends that are awarded. Many reviews included that Epic Games is a family-oriented environment, and will even allow employees’ children to visit from time to time depending on the department. There also seemed to be a high satisfaction with coworkers among reviews, with multiple explaining that the company hires incredibly bright and driven individuals. The CEO of Epic Games, Tim Sweeney, was frequently commended for his employee-first values. Drawbacks of working with the company generally included high levels of crunch, a difficult work-life balance depending on department, and high-stress projects. In departments like graphic design, employees criticized low entry pay rates. Epic Games is growing very fast, and some employees pointed out that the company suffers from “growing pains,” causing disorganization among leadership. Overall, most reviews represented a positive outlook on the company for the future.
