Touch Grass Day

Incoming college freshmen, sophomores, and high school seniors are invited to take part in a day dedicated to volunteering with NYC parks and public spaces to plant trees, clean up, and beautify parks in the Manhattan area. Make new friends before the semester begins, and help contribute to a greener world.

Participants will recieve:

  • Touch Grass Day Participation Pins

  • Transportation Stipends (if needed)

  • Hydration

The Power of Youth Challenge is a youth-designed grant program, offered by America’s Promise Alliance, that provides funding for youth-led service projects across the U.S. Now in its 4th year, the Power of Youth Challenge provides young people ages 13-19 with a leadership development and service opportunity to identify and address a need in their community and beyond.
