2021 Collective Council Session

WHAT IS IT?

Students from across EGD gather to conduct the important business of the Collective using a democratic process.

​

Delegates will be brought together to represent the voices of students to discuss & debate topics around the future direction of EGD.

​

As a voting member, students are able to attend the annual business meetings and vote on proposals, bylaws, and the Board of Directors.

Final Agenda TBD. The EGD Board of Directors reserves the right to modify this agenda up to 30 days before the Collective Council Session.

PROPOSAL ONE

Amending Article VIII of the Bylaws to read in its entirety:

Geographical areas, as referenced in the Constitution of EGD, shall consist of the following: 

 

Geographical Area 1: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, a̶n̶d̶ the United States Virgin Islands, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec.

 

Geographical Area 2: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, a̶n̶d̶ Wisconsin, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon. 

 

Geographical Area 3: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia 

 

Geographical Area 4: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, American Samoa, Guam, a̶n̶d̶  Northern Mariana Islands, Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.


Geographical Area 5: Any other area outside those listed.

Reason: to include Canada in their respectful Geographical Areas to align with North American esports conventions.

ELECTIONS

​

There are 4 vacant positions on the Board Development Committee that will be filled. Nominations will open March 1st.​

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO VOTE?

Student Voting Members, Alumni/Industry Members, and Lifetime Members registered before 3/27/21 are eligible to vote at the 2021 Collective Council Session.
