For many students, the cost of travel, accommodations, and conference fees is simply out of reach. That’s where you come in. Together, we can break down financial barriers and make GDC a more accessible trip for underrepresented emerging developers. Our fundraising goal is $4,000 in total for the students below.​​

Ashley is a technical artist in her junior year, and currently leading the 33-person art department of Studio Aspen, EGD's AAA simulation studio. She also volunteers as a game artist for Witness to Mass Incarceration, a nonprofit that focuses on issues of reentry for formerly incarcerated women and LGBTQ+ people.

Long Island University - Post
Robert is an environment artist and recent graduate passionate about games industry career equity. He recently released his first Steam game, a 3D visual novel, where all proceeds will go to funding scholarships to Indie Game Academy to help aspiring developers like himself.

Hunter College
Kyle is a first-generation Asian American with a lifelong passion for video games. Born in the United States and raised in China, he moved around a lot in his youth and discovered how gaming could bridge gaps and create lasting friendships. Now a senior in his final semester studying game programming, he is excited for the chance to explore different specializations in his field and launch is career.

Emily is an artist and content creator striving to turn her creative vision into a successful career. Through EGD, she discovered a supportive community of developers who inspired her to pursue her artistic passions with purpose. Emily is committed to giving back to the community that has fueled her growth and making a difference in the world.

Lily Cheng
Currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in character design and 3D modeling, Lily’s goal is to spread and represent diverse voices in artistic story mediums. As a member of EGD, she hopes to build community and grow in her creative endeavors, while collaborating on creative projects that focus on underrepresented communities. Attending GDC will provide her with an invaluable experience to connect with fellow creatives within gaming.

Daniel is a game designer and recent graduate based in the Bronx who specializes in UX/UI and economy design. Attending GDC will provide an invaluable opportunity to build meaningful connections within the industry, bringing him closer to achieving his goal.

Flatrion School
A passionate game programmer, Mario currently assists the programming producer leading a team of eight other programmers to create enemies in Studio Aspen, EGD’s AAA simulation studio. In addition, he is an assistant teaching assistant at Urban Arts' School of Interactive Arts game design program for middle and high school students.
