Microsoft is an extensive company, meaning that not all teams or employees will have the same experience. Nevertheless, employee testimonials are extremely positive. Many mention that the work-life balance is great, the work environment is excellent, the opportunities for career growth are good, and that leadership within the company is ethical and efficient. Reviews from various interns that went on to work for Microsoft report beneficial experiences. ROLE OVERVIEW
An Explore Intern would:
Work closely with a team of interns to design and develop a project.
Gain hands-on experience with various tools and programming languages in the field of software development.
Evaluate requirements, estimate costs, create and implement features and services.
Experience both core tech disciplines: Program Manager and Software Engineer.
Microsoft expects diligent students with a passion for learning, focusing on careers in software development. You must have strong teamwork skills, which will be further developed through purposeful collaboration between your team and mentors. Be aware that the internship specifies that only students in their first or second year of a bachelor’s degree program will be accepted.
