Announced on Saturday, June 26, Seox will be coming to Granblue Fantasy: Versus on July 12.
The announcement was made following the game’s feat of having more than 500K copies sold worldwide on PS4 and Steam. Seox is part of the Character Pass 2 DLC which includes Belial, Cagliostro, Yuel, Anre, and Eustace.
Each character can also be purchased separately with their own lobby avatar, star character icon, and additional RPG Mode Quests.
PS4 players also get the extra perk of Seox’s Sticker and a GBVS SSR Character Weapon Draw Ticket.
A week after Team Fortress 2’s patch released, it made way for a new concurrent players record on Sunday, June 27.
The patch had addressed the game’s notorious bot problem in its lobbies, among other updates. The game saw over 151K players, possibly proving the patch’s effectiveness and reignited interest in the game.
However, the community’s reception to the patch is mixed. According to PC Gamer, it had been well-received despite breaking server mods. On the other hand, NME stated Reddit commenters point to overstatement, cheaters and lack of frequent updates as the ones at fault for the game’s stagnancy.
Announced on Monday, June 28, Clover Bite’s GRIME will be coming to PC and Stadia on Aug 2.
The action-adventure RPG puts players in the form of an embodiment of destruction, complete with living weapons and a black hole head. Use the enemies’ skills against them and make the fight and the world your own.
GRIME also boasts stunning surrealist visuals paired with unique combat, especially against huge bosses. All while posing its thematic question: “Will you consume the landscape of its horrors or will you be consumed yourself?”
thatgamecompany launched Sky: Children of the Light on Switch on Tuesday, June 29.
Sky had been previously only available through mobile, first on iOS in July 2019 and nearly a year later on Android. The new platform allows for cross-play, with up to eight players. It also has a free main story arc.
Exclusive to Switch is a Starter Pack which contains two themed capes, a vessel flute, a hairstyle, 75 candles, and an “extra surprise”. Additionally, the game will be hosting its collaboration event with Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Le Petit Prince novel on July 6th.
Players will need to use—and keep—their wits with the announcement of The Tartarus Key on Wednesday, June 30.
Explore yet another mysterious mansion full of secrets as Alex Young, one of the captives within. Save her and the others and uncover three different endings—all dependent on the player’s choices.
Taking its inspiration from the 1992 classic, Alone In The Dark, and escape room puzzles, The Tartarus Key unlocks the door to a unique atmospheric adventure.
The game is slated for release on Steam in 2022.
Announced on Thursday, July 1, Dreamscaper will be releasing earlier than planned—on Aug 5.
Unlike the popular trend in the past year of games delaying release due to development issues, Afterburner Studios’ title instead got ahead of its schedule and had been able to shave a full week off.
The game also has a few other changes up its sleeve—a five-dollar increase in pricing and its largest content update. The former had been decided to suit its higher quality game experience, paired with the latter focusing on the game’s completion and enhanced replayability.
All’s fair in food and war with the release of Foodtruck Arena on Switch and Steam on Friday, July 2.
As they say, the quickest way to a gamer’s heart is through their stomach—or is it in an arena with a pimped out foodtruck? The game features both a single-player tournament mode and a local multiplayer mode for up to four players.
Matches can be customized in multiplayer and with power-ups available, there are more ways than one to outsmart an opponent hungry for a win.
